Extended Access Appointments

Telephone appointments are available with GPs until 20:00 on Tuesday evenings and on Saturdays and Sundays. We are working in collaboration with other GP Surgeries in the Derbyshire Dales to provide this service, so this may be a GP from another Practice. Our receptionists will be able to advise which Practice the GP will be from for these appointments but not the specific GP.

Staff Training (QUEST)

One afternoon per month the Partnership will be closed for ‘Quality Educational Study Time’ or ‘QUEST’. This protected time is authorised by the local Integrated Care Board (ICB) and provides practices with a small amount of protected time to concentrate on essential training and quality.

When We Are Closed

Call 111

Out-of-hours care is the responsibility of Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust and is provided by Derbyshire Health United.

The service covers evenings from 18:00 to 08:00:00 the next day, weekends from 18:00 on Friday to Monday morning at 08:00, and public holidays.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

NHS 111 Online

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally.

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
